Cairo & Nile Cruise — Overview

If it is your first time in Egypt, a combined Cairo stay and Nile cruise is the classic way to see the country’s greatest monuments in a single week. This 7-night package pairs three nights in Cairo with a four-night cruise between Luxor and Aswan, linked by domestic flights — or a VIP overnight train on the Silver package — with all sightseeing, guiding, entrance fees and taxes taken care of.

In Cairo you visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum. Travelling south to Luxor you board your floating hotel and explore Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank, then the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank. Sailing upstream you call at the Temple of Horus in Edfu and the double temple of Kom Ombo before reaching Aswan for the High Dam and the island Temple of Philae, with a felucca sail around the Nile’s islands.

Three tiers — Silver, Golden and Diamond — let you choose your hotel category, cruise class and style of travel, so the same itinerary can be enjoyed on a comfortable or an ultra-luxury footing.
